in the CLOUD!
The Universal Healthcare system (UHC) is for all Filipinos, prescribing reforms and appropriating funds to address inequity in health systems.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has advocated REFORMS in the Health Systems leading to “Digital Transformation“.
“HealthKard EHR” is an answer to such Reforms needed in the Healthcare System!
The HealthKard EHR system goes beyond the standard medical and clinical data typically collected in healthcare provider offices, offering a more comprehensive view of a patient’s care. It also serves as a catalog of past electronic medical records.
All citizen medical encounters are securely stored in HealthKard EHR’s cloud-based database repository, sourced from various healthcare providers such as hospitals, laboratories, testing centers, and clinics. The system seamlessly collects and integrates this information through EMRConnect, LabConnect, TEST-RConnect, and ClinicConnect.
Patients can access their medical encounters through the personalized myHealthKard app on their smartphones or mobile devices, making it easy and convenient to view their medical history.
The HealthKard EHR provides an API (Application Programming Interface) that collects and integrates a citizen’s health records from different healthcare providers and transmits them to the HealthKard system in the cloud. Clients can request and configure a backup copy of the database on their on-premise server for added security and convenience.
To ensure the security of sensitive personal and health information, HealthKard implements best practices and multiple safeguards such as penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and continuous risk assessment.
HealthKard EHR’s cloud-based system employs a multi-layered security implementation that protects data, accounts, and workload from unauthorized access. The system utilizes enterprise data protection services that offer encryption, key management, and threat protection, providing continuous safeguarding.
A layered security approach is employed for the HealthKard database to ensure data privacy and protection. The approach includes multiple components that protect operations with different levels of security measures. The database is always encrypted, and access must pass through these different layers for added protection against potential flaws or gaps in other defenses.
HealthKard ensures the security and compliance of the citizen’s health records in the cloud, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act. The system keeps all records private and confidential and does not disclose them to any person without the citizen’s approval.
